Juan Alderete is an American bassist from Los Angeles who began his career in the 1980s within the heavy metal and rock scenes and has been associated with bands spanning metal, progressive rock and experimental rock. He utilises technical bass techniques, effects and electronic elements across studio, touring and collaborative projects, evolving from metal roots into more experimental and progressive territories and contributing to developments within modern progressive and alternative rock scenes.
