Santi Debriano

Panamanian-born double bassist Santi Debriano began his career after relocating to the United States in the late 1970s and is primarily associated with jazz and Latin jazz. His musical style mixes post-bop harmonic language with Afro-Caribbean rhythms and global influences, and he later led his own ensembles that emphasise compositional arrangements and polyrhythmic interplay.
