San Francisco Contemporary Music Players are an American chamber ensemble formed in San Francisco in 1974 that specialise in contemporary classical and avant-garde new music. They concentrate on commissioning and presenting works by living composers, exploring experimental, spectral and modernist idioms across chamber and electroacoustic formats, and have expanded their activities to include educational outreach, residencies and collaborations within the Bay Area new-music ecosystem.
