Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey (born 27 March 1970 in Huntington, New York) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer whose music blends pop and contemporary R&B with elements of gospel and hip hop, and whose vocals employ extensive melisma and the whistle register. Debuting in the early 1990s, she later expanded into acting, and her lyrics commonly address love and heartache as well as festive themes.
