Maro Ajemian

Maro Ajemian was an American pianist of Armenian descent who began her career in the mid-20th century as a classical performer specialising in contemporary repertoire. She championed new and experimental piano works through commissions and premieres and often linked her programming to her Armenian cultural background and the mid-century American contemporary music scene.
