Humphrey Searle
Humphrey Searle was an English composer born in London in 1915 who began his career in the 1930s and worked primarily in modern classical music. He became associated with serialism and the Second Viennese School, producing orchestral, chamber, piano and electronic works that combine continental serial techniques with aspects of British musical tradition.
