Australian Youth Orchestra

The Australian Youth Orchestra is a national youth orchestra organisation based in Australia, formed in the mid-20th century to develop orchestral musicians and perform predominantly classical repertoire. Its activities combine intensive training programmes, residential courses, national tours and international collaborations, presenting symphonic, chamber and contemporary works and contributing to the development of Australia’s orchestral sector.
