Bernd Aldenhoff

Bernd Aldenhoff was a German operatic tenor who began his professional career in the 1930s and specialised in dramatic, or heldentenor, repertoire within German and Austrian opera traditions. Primarily associated with Wagnerian and other weighty roles, his repertoire and performances through the 1930s–1950s reflected the vocal demands and staging practices of Central European opera in the pre‑ and post‑war periods.
