“Blue” Gene Tyranny

Blue Gene Tyranny is an American composer and pianist who emerged in the late 20th century and worked across experimental, avant-garde and electronic music scenes, performing and composing within both West Coast and downtown New York contemporary music communities. His work combined composed and improvised piano, electronic processing and extended techniques, evolving from minimalist and postmodern influences into interdisciplinary performance pieces and studio-based electronic compositions while remaining active within experimental music circles.
