Roy Campbell

Roy Campbell was an American jazz trumpeter from Los Angeles who began performing in the 1970s and became associated with the free and avant-garde jazz scenes. His playing and compositions blended free improvisation, world-music elements and post-bop structures, and he led and collaborated in community-oriented ensembles that were active in the New York avant-garde scene and in jazz education.
