Mohammed Fairouz

Mohammed Fairouz is an American composer of contemporary classical music, born in New York City in 1985 who began composing as a child and launched a professional career in the early 2000s. His output spans orchestral, chamber, vocal and operatic works that frequently engage with Middle Eastern history, politics and literature, and his style has evolved from early tonal and lyrical influences into a pluralistic contemporary idiom.
