The Black Twig Pickers
The Black Twig Pickers are an American old-time string band formed in the early 2000s in the Appalachian region of southwestern Virginia. Rooted in Appalachian old-time and early country repertoires, their music features fiddle, clawhammer banjo, guitar and traditional songs, blending rural mountain fiddling with field-recording influenced approaches that document and reinterpret regional folk traditions.
