Roy Webb

Roy Webb was an American film composer who began working in cinema and radio in the early 20th century and became a staff composer in Hollywood during the 1930s, specialising in scores for drama, crime and horror films. His music is characterised by atmospheric, orchestral arrangements and economical thematic writing that evolved to support the mood of noir and genre pictures and was a recurring element of studio-era film soundscapes.
