Steve Martland

Steve Martland was an English composer from Liverpool who began his career in the late 20th century working in contemporary classical and post-minimalist idioms. His work blended driving, rhythmically propelled textures with influences from rock and popular music, and he composed extensively for chamber ensembles, dance and theatre while promoting wider public engagement with contemporary music.
