César Guerra-Peixe
César Guerra-Peixe was a Brazilian composer and violinist born in Campos dos Goytacazes who began his career in the mid-20th century working across classical and folk-influenced genres. He combined modernist classical techniques with the collection and transcription of regional folk material, incorporating Brazilian popular and folk motifs into orchestral and chamber works and contributing to the documentation of regional musical traditions.
