Riccardo Del Fra

Riccardo Del Fra is an Italian jazz double bassist and composer born in Rome who began his professional career in the 1970s and has been based in Paris for much of his international work. His playing and arranging draw on bebop and modern jazz traditions, combining melodic arco passages with rhythmic pizzicato lines, and his career has encompassed small-group recordings, larger-ensemble work and contributions to the European jazz scene.
