Franz Koglmann

Franz Koglmann is an Austrian composer and trumpet and flugelhorn player who began performing and recording in the late 1960s and is associated with jazz, free improvisation and experimental music. His work blends jazz improvisation with modern classical and Third Stream elements, evolving through projects that fuse free-jazz approaches with European chamber textures and engaging with the avant-garde jazz scene in Austria and internationally.
