Aidan Moffat is a Scottish musician from Falkirk who began his career in the mid-1990s co-founding the indie rock band Arab Strap and later developing a solo practice spanning folk, electronic and experimental music. His musical approach combines a conversational, often stark vocal delivery with candid lyricism about everyday life, and his work has evolved from indie rock into spoken-word, ambient and electronic projects that engage with domestic and social themes within the Scottish independent music scene.
