Jeff von der Schmidt is an American conductor who founded Southwest Chamber Music in Los Angeles in the early 1990s and has worked primarily in contemporary classical and chamber music. His projects have emphasised 20th- and 21st-century works and Latin American composers, combining performances, new commissions and educational initiatives to present contemporary repertoire.
