Nation of Language

Nation of Language are an American synth-pop band formed in Brooklyn, New York, in 2016, operating within synth-pop, new wave and post-punk traditions. Their music blends 1980s-inspired analogue synthesiser textures, taut basslines and propulsive drum-machine rhythms with contemporary indie songwriting, and their releases have been part of a broader revival of synth-driven new wave and post-punk influences in the 2010s and 2020s.
