Gervase de Peyer

Gervase de Peyer was an English classical clarinettist and conductor who began his career in the mid-20th century, co-founding chamber ensembles and holding principal orchestral posts. His playing combined a lyrical tone and clear articulation, and his work spanned solo, chamber and orchestral repertoire, including performances and premieres of contemporary compositions that contributed to the post-war chamber music revival in Britain.
