Lionel Richie

Lionel Richie (born 20 June 1949 in Tuskegee, Alabama) is an American singer-songwriter, musician and record producer whose work spans R&B, soul, pop and adult contemporary styles. He began his career as a member of the funk and soul band the Commodores in the late 1960s before establishing a solo career in the 1980s, writing and performing songs that frequently explore themes of love and relationships.
