Vache Sharafyan

Vache Sharafyan is an Armenian composer of contemporary classical music, born in Yerevan and active from the late 20th century with a catalogue spanning orchestral, chamber and vocal compositions. His work draws on Armenian folk modalities and liturgical traditions while incorporating modernist and post-minimalist techniques, and he has engaged in collaborations that bridge classical and popular idioms.
