Karel Komzák II was a Bohemian-born Austro-Hungarian conductor and composer active in the late 19th century who established his career leading dance and military ensembles in Prague and Vienna and specialised in waltzes, polkas and marches. His musical style combined Viennese dance traditions with Bohemian folk elements, and over his career he contributed to the popular dance and military band repertoire, shaping urban dance culture in Central Europe.
