The Hollywood String Quartet

The Hollywood String Quartet were an American string quartet formed in Los Angeles in 1939 that specialised in classical chamber music. Their repertoire ranged from standard classical works to 20th-century compositions, and they balanced concert performances with extensive studio work for the Hollywood film and recording industry, helping to bridge concert chamber practice and studio session techniques.
