Willem van Otterloo

Willem van Otterloo was a Dutch conductor and composer who began his conducting career in the Netherlands in the 1930s and was principally associated with twentieth-century orchestral and operatic repertoire. His repertoire encompassed both standard classical works and contemporary twentieth-century compositions, and his recordings and performances contributed to post-war orchestral practice and the promotion of Dutch composers.
