The Teardrop Explodes

The Teardrop Explodes are an English post-punk/new wave band formed in Liverpool in 1978, emerging from the city's late-1970s music scene. They combined 1960s-style psychedelia with contemporary post-punk and pop arrangements, evolving from raw early recordings to more ornate, studio-focused material and playing a part in the development of the UK neo-psychedelic movement in the early 1980s.
