Les Ambassadeurs

Les Ambassadeurs are a Malian musical group formed in Bamako in the 1970s, associated with Afro-pop and modernised Malian music. Their sound fused traditional Manding musical patterns and instruments with electric guitars, horns and dance rhythms, evolving through the 1970s and 1980s and contributing to the development of contemporary West African popular music.
