Nile Rodgers

Nile Rodgers is an American guitarist, songwriter and record producer from New York City who co-founded the disco-funk band Chic in 1976 and began his career in the early 1970s. His percussive "chucking" guitar technique and emphasis on groove underpin disco, funk and pop production, and he later worked across rock, electronic and R&B genres as a producer and collaborator with a wide range of artists, contributing to mainstream and dance music developments.
