Ensemble Matheus are a French period-instrument ensemble formed in Corsica in 1991, specialising in Baroque and early Classical repertoire. Their approach emphasises historically informed performance with period instruments, covering Baroque opera and orchestral works while later extending into Classical and early Romantic repertoire and engaging actively with the European early-music scene.
