Joan Carlyle
Joan Carlyle was an English operatic soprano who began her professional career in the 1950s and worked extensively with major British opera companies, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, performing both opera and concert repertoire. She specialised in roles by Mozart and Richard Strauss and sang a lyric-dramatic repertoire that reflected prevailing British operatic programming in the mid-20th century.
