Jan Ekier

Jan Ekier was a Polish pianist, composer and musicologist born in Kraków in 1913 whose career began in the interwar period and centred on the classical piano repertoire and compositional activity. He prepared the multi-volume Polish National Edition of Frédéric Chopin's works and combined editorial scholarship with teaching and writing to support performance and academic study within Polish musical culture.
