Ralph Towner

Ralph Towner is an American guitarist, pianist and composer from Chehalis, Washington, who began his recording and performing career in the 1960s and co-founded the chamber-jazz group Oregon in 1970. His work blends elements of jazz, classical, folk and world music, featuring a fingerstyle approach on classical and twelve-string guitar alongside piano-based compositions and improvisation, and he has had a long association with the European ECM label.
