Paul Schoenfield

Paul Schoenfield is an American composer and pianist born in Cleveland who began his career in the 1970s and works primarily within contemporary classical music, composing for piano, chamber ensembles and orchestra. His music blends classical forms with Jewish folk traditions, Broadway and jazz influences, often juxtaposing tightly notated material with passages that evoke improvisation and exemplifying a crossover approach within late 20th- and early 21st-century American composition.
