The New Pornographers

The New Pornographers are a Canadian indie rock band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1997, associated with power pop and indie pop music. Their sound combines layered vocal harmonies, jangly guitars and synth textures, evolving across multiple albums from compact power-pop arrangements to more expansive, synth-infused production, and the band contributed to the development of the early-2000s North American indie pop/rock scene.
