Stanley Ritchie

Stanley Ritchie is an Australian-born violinist who began his career in the mid-20th century as a classical performer before specialising in Baroque and early music and establishing a long-standing teaching and performing presence in the United States. Specialising in historically informed performance on the Baroque violin, his work emphasises period technique, chamber repertoire and pedagogy and has been associated with the development of early-music performance practice in conservatoires and ensembles.
