Iris Vermillion is a German operatic mezzo-soprano who trained in German conservatoires and began her professional career in late 20th-century opera and concert performance. Her repertoire spans German and Italian opera, with a focus on Mozart, Verdi and contemporary works, and she has combined staged roles with concert and recording activity within European opera circuits.
