Lorraine Vaillancourt

Lorraine Vaillancourt is a Canadian pianist, conductor and music educator from Quebec who founded the Ensemble contemporain de Montréal and has worked in contemporary classical music since the 1970s. She has championed new music by commissioning and premiering works by Canadian and international composers and has helped integrate contemporary repertoire into Montreal's concert and educational institutions.
