Franz Allers
Franz Allers was a German-born conductor and music director who began his career in Europe before emigrating to the United States and working extensively in mid-20th-century musical theatre and film. His work combined orchestral conducting and arranging for stage and screen, moving between theatrical pit work and studio recording, and contributed to the transfer of European conducting practices into American musical theatre conventions.
