Agata Zubel is a Polish composer and soprano born in Oława in 1978 who began her professional career in contemporary music in the late 1990s and works primarily in contemporary classical and experimental vocal genres. Her work combines composition and performance, frequently using extended vocal techniques, electronics and improvisation and engaging theatrical and interdisciplinary approaches to explore relationships between voice, instruments and electroacoustic textures.
