Mike Svoboda

Mike Svoboda is an American trombonist and composer who established his career from the 1980s onwards in Europe, working primarily within contemporary classical and experimental music. He combines extended trombone techniques, improvisation and theatrical performance with compositions that bridge contemporary classical, jazz and electroacoustic practices, and has collaborated with ensembles to expand the instrument's contemporary repertoire.
