Septimus Winner
Septimus Winner was an American songwriter and music publisher born in Philadelphia in 1827 who began his career in the mid-19th century producing parlor songs, minstrel tunes and popular sheet music. His output combined sentimental parlor ballads, comic dialect songs and simple piano arrangements, often issued under pseudonyms, and his works circulated widely within 19th-century American domestic and popular music culture.
