SWR Symphonieorchester

SWR Symphonieorchester is a German radio symphony orchestra formed in 2016 by the merger of two Südwestrundfunk ensembles and based in Stuttgart and Baden-Baden, performing a predominantly symphonic and orchestral repertoire. Its activities cover classical and contemporary repertoire, including collaborations with living composers and a role in the broadcasting organisation's cultural outreach and commissioning programmes.
