Chic

Chic are an American disco and funk band formed in New York City in 1976 during the late 1970s disco era. Their music emphasises rhythmic guitar patterns, prominent basslines, horn arrangements and polished production, blending disco, funk and R&B, and their grooves and studio techniques were widely sampled and adopted in later dance, pop and hip-hop contexts.
