David Fair is an American musician who co-founded the lo-fi art-punk band Half Japanese in the mid-1970s. His work emphasises a deliberately primitive, D.I.Y. approach to songwriting and guitar playing that blends punk, garage rock and experimental noise and is closely associated with the outsider and independent music scenes.
