Daniela Dessì

Daniela Dessì was an Italian operatic soprano born in Genoa in 1957 who began her professional career in the late 1970s and sang regularly at major Italian and international opera houses. She specialised in the Italian repertoire—from bel canto to verismo—performing roles by composers such as Puccini and Verdi and, over a long career, gradually took on more dramatic parts while remaining rooted in the 19th-century Italian operatic tradition.
