Kari Kriikku is a Finnish clarinettist who began his professional career in the 1980s and specialises in contemporary classical music. He has championed new repertoire by commissioning and premiering works from Scandinavian and international composers, expanding the technical and expressive possibilities of the clarinet in modern concert repertoire.
