Václav Vačkář

Václav Vačkář was a Czech composer, conductor and military band musician who began his career in the early 20th century and specialised in marches, polkas and dance music. His work for military and civic bands and for popular dance ensembles combined march tradition with light orchestral and dance forms, reflecting Czech civic musical culture and contributing a substantial repertoire for amateur and professional ensembles.
