Jean Wiener

Jean Wiéner was a French pianist and composer from Paris who began his career in the early 20th century, working across classical, popular song and film music. He blended classical composition techniques with jazz and popular-song idioms, working extensively as an accompanist and arranger and composing scores for theatre and cinema, thereby influencing Parisian musical life through the interwar period and beyond.
