Seymour Barab

Seymour Barab was an American composer and cellist who began his career in the mid-20th century, writing primarily chamber music and operas, including works intended for young audiences. His music combined accessible melodic writing with elements of modern harmony and theatrical sensibility, and he devoted much of his career to creating approachable operatic and ensemble repertoire for schools, community companies and educational programmes.
